This is our biggest meeting of the year, where we "deep dive" into our programs and decide as a team what is working and what is not, to start our outlining for the next school year. Lunch will be provided - RSVP to president@crestedbuttepta.org for lunch.

If you are interested in hearing more about what we do and why, or you have ideas or feedback for any of our programming, please feel free to join us in person or virtually. Email president@crestedbuttepta.org for a virtual invitation.

To continue offering all our wonderful support for students and staff, we really need new volunteers to step up and get involved. Roles range from seasonal event planning to at-home project management to Board Member positions, including President. If you would like to see how you can get more involved, please fill out this form, and we will be in touch!

PTA Programs Spotlight

Teacher and Staff Wellness

Teachers shape their students’ lives in deep and lasting ways, in and far beyond the classroom. They are not only educators but also a vital source of emotional and social support as children grow into adulthood. When teachers have access to strong wellness programs, it can ease burnout and reinforce their sense of value and engagement, which in turn supports retention. Shared wellness activities also create meaningful, collective experiences that strengthen connections among colleagues.

The CBCS PTA Teacher Wellness Program provides a range of free offerings, including acupuncture, chiropractic care, orthobionomy, and Thai bodywork. Staff can also attend group movement classes with CORE fitness and MoveWise Pilates. In addition, there are opportunities to schedule massages, facials, and even haircuts.

This Wellness Program is a way of recognizing the extraordinary effort you devote to your classrooms and to your students’ lives. We see how you care for our children as if they were your own, and we are profoundly grateful for your dedication. We extend a heartfelt thank you to Jill Voyles for her leadership of this exceptional program, to the many local practitioners who generously contribute their time, and to the sponsors and donors whose support makes this program possible.

Winter Kids Cook!

Indigenous American food has a complicated history. While delicious, traditional indigenous food systems were systematically erased through government land appropriations–recipes and ecological knowledge remain, but they have been historically repressed. Restoring this knowledge to indigenous and non-native communities is a project in justice as well as reconnecting to the land and environment we occupy. Join us this semester at KIDS COOK! for a restorative session on indigenous recipes and history lessons about where we live and the people who’ve been here for hundreds of thousands of years.
